Mandatory training, with a certificate nobody can issue by hand.
Onboarding, information security, a code of conduct, or a program that regulation requires: in every case the question afterwards is whether the employee completed it. Saga assigns the program, measures completion, and issues the certificate itself. No one can produce that certificate outside the process.
A certificate proves its worth on the day it is challenged.
In Saga a certificate is issued automatically at the moment a program is completed. It carries an atomic number in the form SAGA-YYYY-NNNNN, and those numbers are issued in an unbroken sequence. No administrative step is involved, and a certificate cannot be produced outside the process.
A certificate in hand therefore stands for a completed program and a passed assessment. A gap in the sequence, or a number out of order, marks something to investigate. Every certificate issued is written to the audit log with the date, the time, and the employee's name.
Assignment, content, and assessment in one sequence.
Nothing is marked complete by hand. The system carries out every step of the program, from the first assignment to the final certificate.
Deadlines. Each assignment can carry an optional due date and a separate hard cutoff. Filtered by status, the report lists every employee who has not yet completed the program.
Auto-enrollment. An employee added to a group is enrolled in that group's active assignments automatically, so an onboarding program starts the moment a new hire joins the right group.
Sequential progress. Video, written material, and the assessment are completed in a defined order. Video cannot be skipped to the end, and the viewing position is saved as the employee goes.
Instant grading. Single-choice, true or false, and multiple-select questions are scored on submission. Each program sets its own pass mark and time limit.
Employees and managers know what is expected of them.
An employee is emailed when training is assigned, when it is completed, and when a certificate is issued. The templates are edited from the administration screens, and every message is recorded with its recipient, subject, and delivery status.
Reports give the enrollment count, completion rate, and exam average for each program. A line manager sees only the groups they are responsible for, and exports the results as CSV.
